Always Growing: Welcome to The Clover School ❤️️

Welcome ❤️️

As you can see, we have made a few meaningful changes over the summer. This September, as we prepare to open our doors for another memorable school year, we are also getting ready to officially welcome our beloved students and families to The Clover School.

We understand that for some, changing our name may come as a bit of a surprise. But we want to assure you that we are still the same trusted and dedicated team you know and love, practicing the same exceptional Montessori programming at the same beautiful campuses in the ❤️️ of Toronto.

We simply have a brand new name to lead us into the future.  And the future is bright!

? Always Growing ?

The decision to change the name of our school was not one we took lightly. The Forest Hill Montessori School is beloved by many, ourselves included. Since we first opened our doors in 1996 this school has grown beyond expectations, and continues to grow in ways we could not have imagined. Changing our name does not mean changing our Montessori classroom practices or our signature approach to serving your child and your family.

Transitioning to The Clover School is simply our way of articulating something that already exists and has for many years. In fact, it’s what makes this community that we share so incredibly special.

The Clover School is our way of communicating our very unique approach to practicing the Montessori Philosophy of Education; an approach that encourages all of us – our teachers, our staff, our students and their families – to lead with heart, embrace learning and growth as a lifelong journey, and strive to become their most authentic and passionate selves.

We are changing our name as part of a bold initiative to look towards the future as experienced experts of Montessori Education to create a timeless educational experience. And we are so grateful to have you with us, our wonderful community of students, parents, alumni, teachers and staff to support us through this exciting next step for our school.

Why Clover?

The rare four-leaf clover is a fabled icon of folklore that was believed to bring good fortune, good health, luck and love to the one who carried it. We felt the clover was the perfect symbol to reflect the many attributes of our school, especially with respect to our Montessori practices.

? Each clover, like each student, is different and distinct.

? Each clover is compelled to grow upwards towards the sun. Just like our students, the clover doesn’t need to be taught how to grow, it just needs the right environment to flourish.

?If you look closely at the shape of a clover, each of its leaves is distinctly heart-shaped which symbolizes our safe, loving and nurturing classroom communities.

The four-leaf clover also perfectly represents the four pillars of our signature curriculum:

Mind, Heart, Health & Soul Pillars
We encourage students to follow their unique passions and innate curiosity, fostering critical thinking, fearless discovery, and resilience. We value individuality, authenticity and social emotional learning, promoting courage, compassion, and self awareness. We believe that conscious and healthful living are fundamental to wellbeing, practicing smart nutrition, physical exercise and mindfulness. We champion a sense of connectedness to the world around us, facilitating transformative experiences through nature-based learning and the arts.

And to top it all off, the driving force behind our school can be found right in the middle of CLOVER.

Love is at the centre of everything we do at The Clover School.

That’s why we now call ourselves The School with  ❤️️ .

?What’s to Come ?

In addition to the exciting debut of The Clover School, you can look forward to reading more value-packed articles and stories right here on our blog.

Not only will we will be sharing the latest news and updates from our school, but we will also be publishing editorials on everything from childhood development and parenting, to the Montessori method, health and wellbeing, and life in general.

Why? Because we believe that learning isn’t just for students, it’s for everyone. We encourage each member of our community to embrace learning as a lifelong journey, and if we can support that journey in any way by sharing our own knowledge, it’s important to us to do so.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have you with us and we are really looking forward to what’s to come!
